Flank (Side) Elevation overlooking Cloudesley Street: Careful removal of loose, failing historic mortar. Repointing of the c.1835 brickwork using a traditional, breathable Natural Hydraulic Lime mortar (NHL 3.5) and sand mix to match the historic joint profile and texture. Works include the localized removal of a small number of severely damaged/weathered bricks, to be replaced on a like-for-like basis with matching salvaged historic bricks. 2. Rear Extension Elevation: Localized patch repointing to areas of failing mortar at ground level only using matching NHL 3.5 lime mortar. This low-level area is substantially screened from wider public views by the existing garden boundary wall. 3. Rear Garden Boundary Wall: Minor, localized patch repairs to targeted problem areas of failing mortar joints using a matching breathable lime mortar mix to secure the structure.
