What is being proposed?
We would like to reduce the large Acacia tree (T1) in the front garden as it has considerably outgrown its location and in need of being reduced. Some of the overlong branches need to be reduced by about 3 metres due to their length. One of the branches growing over the pavement and road needs to be reduced significantly for safety purposes and to be cut back from the road. The canopy also needs to be thinned out by about 20% to allow for more light in the canopy and for the health of the tree including crossing branches. Reducing the tree will also minimise root expansion due to the close proximity of the tree to the house.
