T1: Bay - Crown reduce by approx 2.5m to previous points leaving tree 4m tall and 2m wide. Trim to tidy.
Birch, crown reduce to previous pruning points. Remove 1.5m of regrowth over entire crown.
Demolition of an existing building (Sui Generis), and the construction of 3 No. dwellinghouses (C3a) and associated amenity space.
T1 – Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) Existing Height: approx. 10m | Existing Spread: N 3m, E 2m, S 3m, W 3m Proposed works: Re-reduce back to previous pruning points, removing approx. 1m of regrowth from height and spread, leaving approx. 9m height, spread N 2m, E 1m, S 2m, W 2m. Justification: Sycamore previously maintained as a pollard alongside an adjacent Lime, due to its close proximity to the property and drains. Proposed works maintain the established pollard form and manage crown size to reduce the risk of further root-related disturbance to nearby drainage, consistent with previous management history at this site.
Tree species - Leylandi The number used on the sketch plan - 12 trees in the front drive way on the left hand side bordering number 16 A description of the proposed works - Removal of the trees. Unsightly from street side number 16. Blocks light in to 14. Where trees are protected by a Tree Preservation Order - N/A
Rear of Flats T1-Catalpa Crown reduction of whole tree by 2 metres to leave a canopy spread of 4 metres. Remove dead and diseases wood. • T1 Catalpa is located in the rear of the property as shown on the map provided. • The works are part of a regular maintenance program to retain the tree at a suitable size for it’s location. • The tree is encroaching heavily onto the roof of the property. T2-Walnut Crown reduction of whole tree by 2 metres to leave a canopy spread of 4 metres. Remove dead and diseases wood. • T2 Walnut is located in the rear of the property as shown on the map provided. • The works are part of a regular maintenance program to retain the tree at a suitable size for it’s location. • The tree is encroaching heavily onto the neighbouring property..
G001 - Elm - Lift low canopy to 3m agl over the access road. T006 - Horse Chestnut - Lift low canopy to 3m agl over the access road only. We intent to carry out all works recommended within 6 months in attached health & safety survey but I believe the above are the only two trees covered by the TPO.
Rear Garden T1 Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) Dead tree - Fell to a stump of approximately 2.5m as tree is dead.
T9 (Oak) Reduce canopy back to the previous pruning points. Following completion, the tree would have an overall height of approximately 16m, and the crown would have an approximate radial spread of 4 metres (north), 3 metres (east), 6 (south) and 6 metres (west). Remove epicormic growth extending over the garden. Remove deadwood over footpath. By pruning back to the existing reduction points, the works will maintain the tree within its established management regime and maintain its size and form appropriate to its environment. Removal of epicormic growth on the garden side will increase the usable garden space beneath the canopy.
Details pursuant to conditions C2 - Refuse Arrangements, and C9 - Renewable energy of planning permission PA25/0980.
T1 Horse Chestnut -Tree does have Horse Chestnut leaf miner (Cameraria ohridella), this will not necessarily kill the tree but it is an added stress factor. To remove the Ivy and removing all epicormic growth from the main stem to allow for better inspection. Final height and spread = unchanged.
