Tree worksNo objection raised

Cross Deep House Cross Deep Twickenham

HIGH PRIORITY: T001 - Lime tree adjacent to A310 - Remove tree due to patch of decay at base with presence of Kretzschmaria duesta fungus (see photographs). Please note that we recommend that this is removed as a very high priority (within one month). T006: Beech tree within rear garden, Meripilus giganteus around base - Client wishes to retain tree but reduce in overall height and spread, and crown lift. We recommend a significant reduction in height from 25m to approximately 10m, crown lift from 2.5m to 5m, and a canopy reduction from a radius of C. 12m to 4m in every direction. The aim of such pruning is to keep a large volume of habitat rather than keep the tree alive and healthy, as it has a limited safe useful life expectancy. T008: Dead/dying tree with diameter of 10cm - Remove.

Tree worksApproved

122, Holly Road, Twickenham, TW1 4HF

This application is made in respect of a large sycamore tree in the front garden of 122 Holly Road, Twickenham. The tree is located just inside the front garden of 122 Holly Road and is subject to a tree protection order, reference T0182- T1- Sycamore. A health and safety arboricultural inspection of the tree (attached) has identified that the tree shows extensive internal decay in the trunk and other parts and insufficient sound wood to maintain safety. The crown of the tree shows extensive die back and major deadwood. The report recommends that the tree be sectionally dismantled to ground level using a safe process to protect public safety. Owing to the extremely small front garden plot, the likely depletion of the soil, and the proximity of the carriageway it is not considered possible to replant. It is proposed that the existing photinia hedge and ceanothus are allowed to develop to provide relief to an otherwise grey street scene. To the rear of the property, 7 trees have been planted within the last decade together with other garden plants and shrubs and it is not considered feasible to find space for further planting. See enclosed location plan, photos and arboricultural health and safety report.

What applies at this location

These describe protections or restrictions on the location. They are not planning applications or council decisions.

What could affect a property here?

These are planning protections or restrictions that apply at the location we checked. They can affect what you are allowed to build, alter or demolish. The number beside a heading simply tells you how many overlapping map records were found — it is not a rating and it is not the number of planning applications.

Conservation areaApplies here

This location is inside Pope's Avenue. Conservation areas can mean tighter rules for changes to the outside of a property, trees and demolition.

National planning data does not include every local rule. Check the relevant council where a decision depends on it.
