Tree worksAwaiting decision

23 London Road Ewell Surrey KT17 2BE

Horse Chestnuts (3) - crown lifting to keep the size of the trees appropriate to the front of the house. We will cut to the same level approved in 2019 (about a 30% reduction) Horse Chestnut (1) - the rotten tree needs to be felled urgently to prevent damage and injury. We do not propose planting a replacement tree at this time - we have already planted a long boundary row of beech trees in the front garden and there is no space under the shading of the other three chestnuts properly to establish another

T8 (The Orchard) - Crown reduce one scaffold limb by approximately 2.5 m. Age-related retrenchment, upper canopy dieback and defects within the scaffold limb near its union with the main stem. Reduction proposed to reduce end loading whilst retaining the tree. Deadwood removal (>50 mm diameter) considered exempt. T2 (Tayles Hill House) - Crown lift to 3 m over driveway (Section 211). Routine management to provide adequate clearance over the driveway. G10 Thuja (Tayles Hill House) - Fell (Section 211). Extensive basal decay, basal cavity and progressive canopy dieback. Poor physiological and structural condition. G10 Elm (Tayles Hill House) - Fell (Section 211). Advanced decline associated with Dutch elm disease. No realistic long-term retention. T9 Cypress (Tayles Hill House) - Fell (TPO). Moribund with poor physiological and structural condition. No realistic prospect of recovery.
